Can I schedule updates only for a Facebook Page and not for my personal Facebook account?
You certainly can.
Select "Social Accounts, Add New Account, Add Facebook" from the sidebar menu.
On the next page, click the Connect to Facebook button, and in the popup, click Allow to allow our application access to your Facebook account. We need that basic access even if you want to only publish to Facebook pages. Without it we cannot even get the list of pages of which you are an admin.
When the page refreshes, you will see your Facebook pages in the right-hand column. Select the checkboxes of the pages that you want to publish to. For each one that you select, the system will create a separate entry in your list of accounts. You will see them in Accounts, List Accounts.
When creating a new tweet, simply select that Facebook page account from the accounts selection box.

I automated my Twitter account, I'm getting new followers, but SocialOomph isn't processing them... What's going on?
First, please relax... the system is working. :-)
Click the "Social Accounts, Automation Stats" in the sidebar menu in SocialOomph so that you can follow along with the explanation below.
Due to the large number of Twitter accounts that we manage, we can only cycle through them all a few times a day and do the follower processing.
So, the first thing you need to understand is, your new followers will never be processed immediately when they follow you. It is simply impossible for SocialOomph to do that.
Here's how we do it.
When you add your Twitter account and set its automation options, we grab a copy of your follower list from Twitter and we save it in our system. That becomes the baseline we're going to use to figure out who followed you from that point forward.
Then we wait several hours where we do nothing with your account.
Then, after waiting several hours, we grab another copy of your follower list from Twitter. We use this new list and compare it with the previous one we grabbed. From that comparison, we figure out who has followed you since we grabbed that previous list.
We then apply your automation options on those new followers (auto-follow, DM). The same process is done with unfollowing if you have selected auto-unfollow.
Now, to your Auto Stats page.
The time of the last follower check is the time when we last grabbed that follower list from Twitter. The next follower check is the time when we are going to grab the next copy of the follower list and apply your automation settings.
Any new followers you have had after the time of the last follower check will wait until the next check before they will be auto-followed and/or DM'ed.
It takes a little patience, but rest assured, the system works and it works very reliably.
To use an analogy, it's like a public transport bus that runs a circular route, and your Twitter account is one of the stops on the route.
It can only pick up passengers (new followers) at your stop when the bus gets to your stop. While the bus is somewhere else on the route, your passengers are waiting at your stop for the next time the bus stops there to pick them up.
The frequency with which the bus visits your stop varies from time to time, depending on server load. Select "Social Accounts, Automation Stats" from the menu, which will tell you when your last follower check happened and when the next follower check is scheduled to happen.
Last but not least, every time you edit your Twitter account entry and change any of the automation options, we completely reset your schedule, and we take a new snapshot of your follower list.
In other words, any unprocessed new followers that followed you before you clicked the Save button will not be recognized as new followers and will not be processed. Only new followers who follow you after you've clicked the Save button will be picked up and processed the next time the bus reaches your stop.

Is my Twitter account automation working? I'm not seeing DMs going to my new followers...
If you've authorized our application to access your Twitter account and you've selected the correct automation checkboxes, then your Twitter account automation is working. It just takes a little time.
The system checks for new followers once every several hours. Once it has identified new followers, it applies your automation settings to those new followers.

How do I stop the bounced / undeliverable emails that are coming from SocialOomph?
Remember way back when you automated your Twitter account and had to create a filter in Gmail to forward emails to SocialOomph?
Simply delete that filter, and those messages will stop. The email forwarding to SocialOomph is not necessary anymore for your automation to work. We now use a different method.
Click Create a new filter next to the Search Email button. Then click Show current filters. (This is on Gmail.)
If you didn't use Gmail, you need to delete the forwarding rule in your email program.
If you've recently added your Twitter account to SocialOomph, then you have probably viewed outdated instructions on an external site. The forwarding of emails to SocialOomph is not needed anymore. We now use a completely different method of identifying your new followers.

The system says my Twitter account is "locked" for 90 days... What can I do?
Since we've launched SocialOomph Professional, you can add a Twitter account only to one SocialOomph account.
The message that your Twitter account is locked means it has previously been added to another SocialOomph account. It may be an old account that you have forgotten about.
To unlock your Twitter account requires the following steps:
- Login to the other SocialOomph account that currently has the Twitter account added to it.
- Unregister that SocialOomph account.
- Then submit a Support ticket and ask us to unlock the account. We will unlock it so that you can add it again.
We lock Twitter accounts for 90 days to prevent people from abusing the Free Trial by repetitively creating new SocialOomph accounts, taking the Free Trial on each new account, and essentially having an unending trial period.
We have no issues unlocking your Twitter account if you have a valid reason for moving your Twitter account to another SocialOomph account.

I think I'm not getting all my keyword alert emails... What can I do?
We have noticed that sometimes some of the keyword alert emails get lost in transit between our email system and remote email systems.
Sometimes the content of the tweets trigger ISP spam filters to completely reject the email.
-
When will SocialOomph convert over to Twitter's OAuth account access authentication?
We converted our application to OAuth on February 10, 2010.
-
How do I cancel my SocialOomph Professional subscription?
Simply login to your PayPal account, locate the SocialOomph Professional subscription entry, and cancel it there.
Your SocialOomph account will remain at SocialOomph Professional status until the last day of the period you have paid for. At that point your account will automatically revert back to a SocialOomph Free account.
